Lisa Hannigan is a singer and songwriter whose soft but captivating voice has attracted musicians like Damien Rice and Herbie Hancock, who have both collaborated with the artist. In early 2001, Hannigan began singing as a lead vocalist for Rice's music at a concert in the Temple Bar Music Centre in Dublin. She appeared on his debut album, O, singing on the majority of the tracks.

After seven years of touring with Rice, Hannigan was left with a notebook of songs and a strong desire to put them onto a record. With the help of a group of talented friends, Hannigan recorded the album Sea Sew. The album's first single, "Lille," features beautiful back-up vocals from Cathy Davey. Although the last song on the record, "Lille" is the first to come together in the demo stages with a cohesive sound.

She may have emerged as a supporting artist, but Hannigan is holding her own as a solo act. With a delicate voice and thoughtful lyrics, she is sure to continue impressing listeners around the world.
