Signed by RCA when he was just 19, songwriter and artist Landon Pigg released his debut album, LP, in 2006. The Nashville native, famous for his soft acoustic sound, is a wanderer, having lived everywhere from Seattle to New York City. But it’s this sense of wanderlust and openness that has inspired great musical success for the talented young artist.
During the Holiday season of 2007 – 2008, Pigg’s unreleased ode to an unrequited love, “Coffeeshop,” was featured in the, “A Diamond Is Forever,” campaign. This drew much attention, and the track was later featured in an AT&T campaign. But music isn’t Pigg’s only strong suit. Last year, he starred alongside Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page in the film Whip It.
In 2009, Pigg released his sophomore album, The Boy Who Never. The track, “Ghost,” is a gentle, self-reflective melody, while the darker, “Blue Skies,” recounts the painful kiss-off experienced by songwriters. Although a nomad at heart, Pigg has a clear direction in mind. This year, he joins (RED)NIGHTS as a featured artist, where he’ll use the power of music to help save lives in Africa.
